2013 Winter Netball Games are complete!

Congratulations and Well Done to all players who had the fantastic opportunity to play in a Netball Grand Final!!!!! What a thrilling way to finish of the season.

There were 7 teams representing St Joseph’s Netball Club, all of whose games were very exciting! Well done and thank you for playing some great netball. It was a pleasure to watch and cheer you on as you played under a grand final atmosphere and pushed yourselves out of your comfort zone! The 11AR’s, 11B2’s, 16B1 and Seniors B2’s teams were season winners of their grades while our  16B2’s, 181’s and 183’s were runners up. Such a wonderful achievement!  You did yourself, parents, family, friends and the club proud. Thank you to all coaches, managers, umpires and supporters for all your time, support and encouragement throughout the 2013 netball season. Without your help our teams would not have been able to achieve these results.

Thank you everyone for your support throughout this 2013 Winter Netball Season. In particular I would like to say thank you to all the Committee for all your effort, time and hard work throughout the season.

To everyone, you are warmly welcomed to come along and cheer our Joeys teams now playing in the semis, finals and grand finals! Thank you very much to Anne Bishop, Jo Henderson, David Bulmer and Chloe Tozer for all your support, guidance and time in preparing our coaches, managers  and umpires throughout the season and  for the finals . Your advice is always greatly appreciated.

Thank you to all Coaches, Managers and Volunteers who were able to join in the get together last Sunday afternoon at Kareela Golf Club. It was a lovely opportunity for many to have a chat at a calmer pace than the passing ones so many of us experience at the netball courts.  Thank you for your wonderful company.

As the season is progressing closer to the end of the rounds and before the Finals series I hope players are enjoying their netball as well as developing some new skills. 

On Sunday the 12A’s and 10A’s will be participating in the Blacktown Netball Carnival. On behalf of the Club we wish you all the best and that you have a fantastic time experiencing the day!

Last night at the General Joeys meeting; two meeting dates were finalized. The next General Joeys meeting will be held on the 9th September and the Clubs AGM will be November 25th onto the calendar. Please add these to your already busy calendars!

I hope everyone had a great long weekend and that Round 2 began well for everyone, including our Nursery Teams.

Thank you to “What A Shot Sports Photography” for the fantastic photos ….the teams, individuals and the Muck-Up! Thank you too, to Anne Bishop and all those involved in the organisation of the Club’s Photo Day .Well Done.

This week finds Joeys Club down for canteen duty. It is fantastic this year that we have tried to take up the challenge that we have no managers or coaches in the canteen! I know we are all busy but this can be seen as a token of our appreciation to our Coaches and Managers on the behalf of our girls. Thank you everyone for your support.

On behalf of the Club, Good Luck and have a wonderful day on Sunday to our 3 Netta Teams. They will participating in the 8 and 9 Netball Gala Day.

Congratulations Joeys! You are all playing some fantastic netball and most importantly learning great sportsmanship whilst having fun!  It is very exciting to scroll down on the Joeys and SSNA websites looking at teams results!

Don’t forget to keep looking at the Joey’s website for latest news & dates and also the SSNA website has had an overhaul and is much easier to use now.

Well done to the under 8’s, 9’s and Net Set Go Nursery players! Keep having fun while learning many netball skills!
