Secretary’s Report

Our nursery program commenced last Friday at Seymour Shaw. Twenty eight 5 and 6 year old girls turned up very excited and keen to learn the rules and play with friends. Jo Henderson, our Net Set Go coordinator and her wonderful team of teenager

The Shooting Clinic held on Monday 29th April was a recent highlight. We had 27 girls from our 10, 11, 12 and 13 year old teams, turn up to refine their technique and practise their shooting skills. Can coaches please encourage the girls to

Joeys have been asked to supply 63 volunteers over the course of Day 9 for a one hour duty at the Bellingara canteens. This number has slightly increased on last year’s requests which now will require the majority of teams to find 3 volunteers.

To take the court, a team needs 5 original players. In this case they are allowed to borrow TWO players from lower graded or aged teams (see 2nd game rules). If you have 6 original players then you are only allowed to borrow ONE player. This

Day 2 was a huge success for the club as a whole with approximately 80% of our teams coming home with a win. Congratulations to all and keep up the great spirit of our club.

Please be aware that no dogs, scooters and skateboards are allowed on the grounds on play days. There are also new laws prohibiting smoking on public sports grounds whilst a sporting event is being held. Smoking will not be permitted within 10

During the winter competition, SSNA will award two coaches with a Coach of the Month Award. The categories are:   Junior Coach Award (must be 18 years or younger) and Senior Coach Award (must be 19 years or older) Should you wish to nominate

Can managers please be aware if your team is placed first on the official draw in the fixture book or on the SSNA website, then you are expected to collect the score sheet from control prior to the game and for the 8’s and 9’s, return it also.

I love the sight on the courts on Day 1 and the sounds of the whistles; it makes the build-up to the day worthwhile!  Hopefully everyone had a great start to the season despite the rain hanging around throughout the day. I am aware of one girl
