A big note of thanks to all for attending the Presentation Night. Congratulations!

Thank you and well done to everyone as it was a great celebration of our Joeys Winter Netball Season.

Congratulations to the following:

  • Coach of the Year –  Julie Evans 
  • Coaching Encouragement Award – Olivia Sertori and Sarah Heptinstall
  • Umpire of the Year – Sophie Hunt
  • Junior Umpire Encouragement Award – Sarah Heptinstall 

Also a special note of thanks to Julie Schey, our Club registrar, for all her amazing work in getting teams registered for both winter and summer competitions.

Thank you too to Lauren Dalton for the fantastic slide show recapping the Joeys’ season!

Finally, our biggest thanks go to you our executive committee – Anne, Trace, Paul and Dave – Thanks for all the hard work, time, effort and commitment you’ve given to the club this year. You’re all appreciated!

 

Umpiring, Playing, Coaching next year?

With a fantastic presentation night behind us and the 2016 Winter Netball Season drawing to a close, it is a good time to think about what you are doing next year.

Umpiring, playing and Coaching are all greatly aided by having a strong understanding the Rules of Netball so if you are looking to do any of these (including those girls that are already umpires), we recommend some summer reading:  http://netball.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/netball_rules_2016_english.pdf

A great way to test your knowledge is the online test which can be taken over and over again until you perfect your responses:  http://netball.com.au/get-involved/umpiring/accreditation/section-1-theory-exam/

The more familiar you are with the rules the better umpire, player and coach you will be.  Good luck!
