Hi all,

We have great news!!
A massive congratulations to Indianna Leigh and Roisin Bryce-Stark for earning their National C Badge for Umpiring today!! This is a massive achievement for these girls and our club. Both these girls have been working very very hard to get to this point and we are all very proud of them !! YAY we now have 4 badged umpires in Joeys.
We also would like to say a big thank you to SSNA for all the help and guidance you have given Joeys as a club this year for umpiring and also specifically from these girls.
I am one proud/happy umpires convenor!!!!
Lauren 🙂

Club Photos

Photos are set for the next play day which is 11th July at Corea Oval, Corea St.  Thanks to Emma Fisher for compiling the roster for the club which has been forwarded to managers and to Anne Heptinstall for her support with the booking.

Umpires Never Stop Striving to Improve

Great to see Sutherland Shire Umpires making it on the big stage. And even though just starting at club level, our Joeys Junior Umpires find themselves on a huge learning curve as they do their best to implement their knowledge courtside. Just like netballers, they aim to improve their skills each week. Take a moment to read this article and see how even AA Badged Umpires still see each game as a learning experience.

8s & 9s Gala Netball Day

The annual gala day was held on Sunday 14th June. The weather was kind this year unlike many on this day in the past and a lot of success and enjoyment was had.  Thanks to Francene Bryce for sending in this report:

U9.1, U9.2 and U9.3 Joeys teams all brought their energy and smiles to the Sutherland Shire Gala Day held at Bellingara. It was a beautiful sunny Sunday and all the girls were super keen to strut their stuff on the netball courts. The day started with the traditional march pass. Our girls marched, sang, cartwheeled & danced their way across the courts choreographed by Julia Caraffa (U12) and Niamh Bryce-Stark (U12). Each team of girls played five tough games and, as always, played their hardest for their team. Across the teams we had a few wins, a few draws and a few losses and everyone had loads of fun.

Secretary’s Update

We have a well earned break from club netball for the next three weekends. Play resumes on the 11th July with Day 12 when the countdown to the semis will begin! Good luck to all teams and thank you for representing the club with great commitment and sportsmanship this season.

To all Volunteers, Coaches, Managers and Umpires of the 2015 Netball Season THANK YOU.  The time and efforts you have generously given have been greatly appreciated. A special mention to Anne Heptinstall for the Loftus Pies and the teams who supported Anne in her endeavours.

Kind regards
Anne Bishop

We are sorry for the delay however, there has been a backlog on orders therefore we haven’t received them as quickly as we would have liked.

An email will be sent out once they have arrived and Sharon will co-ordinate a pick up date and location, which will be confirmed via email.

If anyone has not placed an order and would like to purchase a jumper, visor or some of the old stock, inc. polo shirts, tights, etc please contact:
